An Outdoorsy Day

Spent most of today outside, on the road. I guess I was hoping to shed some calories from all the Christmas binging. Started off at around 9am with a walk around the subdivision, which by the way, is VERY hilly. I must have done about 4 kms. or a little bit more. One round from the guardhouse through to the end of the main road and back is 2.5 kms. (I know this from my Garmin ForeRunner watch which I used before when I was still heavily into running). I did that and a lot more...so I'm guessing I did about 4K, give or take a couple of meters.

Here are some of the roads I took during my walk:

steep downhill

even steeper downhill...

...very long, too!

as they say, what comes up must go down...in this case, what goes down must come up!
The subdivision I live in hardly has any flat roads. Almost all the roads are either going down, or sloping up. Good cardio, even for just a walk.

T'was a good opportunity for some interesting photos, too:

Nice eerie house :P
I biked around the subdivision after the walk...then biked again around Nuvali in the afternoon!

Under a perfect tree :)
I just love the holidays :) I hope I burned enough calories today to make room for more calories in the coming days :P

Post-Christmas Weight Watch

Christmas just passed. I'm starting a new blog...again. This is probably my 4th or 5th blog. Oh well.

It's the day after Christmas, and I'm feeling an urge to renew...specifically, my blog...and my weight.

Task one, done. Or at least, in progress. Task two...well, that's something that needs a bit of planning. You see, the holidays has seen me losing control over my food intake (I'm sure a lot of you can relate), and I've gained probably around 10 pounds. I was planning on starting my diet on January 1, 2012, but at the rate I'm going, I'd probably need two years of intense dieting and exercising before I can go down to my target weight :S Tall order. So, perhaps, I should start as early as now.

Let's see how things go. Going back to my old regime of no breakfast (yeah...I'm sure a lot of you will tell me that's not good...but my body's used to it), no rice, and pre-meal C-lium fiber.

Good luck to me :P
